Devil's Food Cake Mix Cookies
We just made it back to Houston and are completely worn out, but I wanted to share a quick (and very yummy!) post with you before we hit the hay. I found this recipe while rummaging through my grandma's old cookbook for Thanksgiving baking ideas and decided to make them for Zach's brother and sister-in-law who so graciously let us stay with them the last nine days. Nine days is a very long time to put up with me and Z. I threw in the M&Ms on a whim to add some color and they turned out pretty tasty if I do say so myself. They only took a few minutes to make and call for four ingredients....need I say more?
Ingredients:
1 box Devil's Food cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. Christmas M&Ms (optional, can also use pecans, coconut, etc.)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix first three ingredients together then stir in M&Ms. Roll into walnut-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet.
*Makes 3 dozen cookies.
I'm sharing this post over at the lovely NewlyWoodwards. She has an awesome Dare to DIY blog party going on that you should definitely check out!

I agree the M & M's make them look so pretty! I wonder how the pretzel M&M's would taste in these (I'm a little obsessed with those!)
