Cookie Party!

12/27/2011 marks a very special date...our very first annual Cookie Decorating/Swap Party! We decided to make it a yearly tradition, as eating massive amounts of sugar and having hours of silly girl talk seemed the perfect combination. Throw a little Christmas Bingo in the mix and it's almost more than we could handle. But we did handle it...and everyone left with smiles on their faces and tons of cookies in tow. If you're looking for a fun Valentine's party idea, this would be wonderful!

p.s. Big thanks to my Momma and Dad for letting us use your house for the night. Next year we'll leave you more cookies!
p.p.s. Sorry for the 14,038 pictures! It's amazing how many pictures you take when you're crazy hyper on a sugar-high.

Frosty's not flippin' you the bird, I promise. I think an icicle got stuck to his hand. Isn't that right, Frosty?
We shared recipes along with many, many laughs.
Two of my sister-in-laws brought red velvet and lemon cake mix cookies...they were amazing. Recipe coming soon!

Did you attend/host a cookie party this year? Do you have any ideas for our future gatherings? Would love to hear about them!

Merry Christmas, Y'all!

So you've heard that everything is bigger in Texas. Or so we natives like to think. Christmas is, without a doubt, no exception. We eat like it's our last meal on earth. We sing carols like they're going out of style (according to my husband, they already have). We jingle bells, we deck the halls, we dream of a white Christmas....but this year our dreams came true. That's right, you heard me. West Texas had a snowy Christmas. That's rare. That's big. I wish I could say we were dashing through the snow, but we weren't. We were driving our very large pick-up trucks very slowly. But hey, we enjoyed it nonetheless.

Here are a few pictures of our first days back home. Oh, to relive these moments. They were magical.

It's 2012!

And a very happy New Year to you.
(It doesn't spell anything out. It just looks cool.)
