Weekend Fun

My little brother, Ryan, and his girlfriend, Jordan, came to visit this past weekend and we had so much fun! We took them to Galveston, Top Golf, Cheesecake Factory, and of course Freddy's :).

First things first, let's talk Oreos and how good these things are. We all agreed the Reese's ones are better, but the Cookie Dough are still pretty yummy. Zach maintains that nothing beats good old fashioned Double Stuf, and I have to say that while I allllmost agree, these Reese's Oreos are my new favorite.

How could it not be, with the most amazing Coffee Bean Flake ice cream?

After lots of shopping, we headed for the beach. To say that Bear loved it would be an understatement; he had SO much fun! Running in the water, digging in the sand, trying to catch pigeons, etc. We loved watching him enjoy one of our favorite spots, too.

Ryan bought Bear this Olaf and even though Bear hasn't seen the movie, he's hardly put Olaf down since. In fact, he's napping with Olaf in his arms right now. It's pretty much the sweetest thing ever.

Everyone enjoyed Top Golf, except Bear who was confined to the couch minus this one brief moment of glory.

We've laughed so hard at this picture; Z tried to capture my swing but instead focused mostly on Ryan eating queso...

It's a pretty magical place once the sun goes down.

Yesterday afternoon, we headed to Freddy's for one last meal before Ryan and Jordan hit the road. They'd never been to a Freddy's, so it was a must! Bear brought Olaf, too.

Overall, it was such a great weekend and we were sad to see it fly by.
Ryan and Jordan, thank you for coming to see us! Can't wait to see y'all again!

Hawaii Part 7: Bellows Beach

You can all breathe a sigh of relief; this is the LAST Hawaii post! It was honestly a struggle to narrow it down to 7 recaps...Oahu is so beautiful that it warrants a ridiculous amount of picture-taking. You have all been so sweet about our trip...thank you! Y'all are the best!

If we had to pick a favorite beach on Oahu that we visited, Z and I both agree that it'd be Bellows. It's on a military base so only military can use it, therefore there aren't many people around and it isn't overcrowded (unlike Waikiki). The water does this gorgeous ombre thing as it stretches infinitely into the sky, and the sand is so soft you wanna eat it. And Bear did just that.

Probably my favorite picture of the whole trip.

Shane and Scarlett put Bear in this chair and he just chilled there for the longest time. He loved it!

I love Bear's rascally expression in this picture. This was our last evening before heading to the airport...bittersweet!

Thank you again for all your sweet comments on our vacay! We had a blast and wish we could go back, like, tomorrow :).

The weather was glorious in Houston today and we had such a fun day. Hope yours was wonderful, too! Enjoy your Sunday!

Hawaii Part 6: Paradise Cove

It's common knowledge that when in Hawaii, you must attend a luau. I kept thinking we didn't have to go to one and feared they were overrated, but Shane and Scarlett booked one at Paradise Cove and completely proved me wrong. It was amazing! Every bit of it, from the food, to the entertainment, to the scenery, was completely perfect. Such a great night!

Yes, this is legit. The red one on Scarlett is named Foxy. :)

All Zach's idea. He says Bear will thank us when he's 17.

Yes, that's a man up there! He climbed this tree in a matter of seconds.

Bear got on stage to do the hula!

This was one of our favorite nights in Hawaii and we'll never forget baby Bear doing the hula on stage...or all of us nonchalantly holding parrots to pose for a photo. I'm sure Zach won't forget the hula dancers anytime soon, either ;).

Can you believe it's already Thursday? Where has this week gone? Little Man's down for a nap and I'm off to get a few chores done before he wakes up. Hoping tomorrow brings warmer weather in Texas and to all of you!
