My Husband, the Ar-teest

Can I please do some husband bragging for a minute? You guys won't judge me, will you?

You see, I have been looking for just the right piece to hang over our mantle for two months now. I had pretty much determined that piece didn't exist until my artsy little husband surprised me one day and busted out the canvas and paintbrushes. He disappeared into the garage for a couple hours and then came into the kitchen where I was baking cookies (are you surprised?) and asked me to come take a look at what he'd been working on. You can imagine my surprise when I walked in the garage to find this.....

When we get our living room fixed up a little more blog-presentable I'll post pictures of the whole room and hopefully you'll see how this painting ties in perfectly. The room is full of warm tones...reds, oranges, and yellows. I feel so blessed to have a husband that is creative and exercises that outlet. Now if only he could teach me to draw a stick figure, we'd be in good shape.
