A Little Friday Night Inspiration

We had a fun trip to Michael's tonight ("fun" said with slight sarcasm...imagine Bear running wild through the aisles with a glass vase and a glue gun) in which lots of projects were conjured up and unnecessary purchases were made.

As we were about to leave, I stumbled across a stamp with this quote:

"It doesn't matter where you begin, just begin."

This spoke volumes to me tonight. There are so many times in this life when we put things off and say "I'll start that tomorrow". I'm not just talking housework or a school project, I'm talking goals and dreams and the wishes of our souls. On too many occasions we let our fears and self doubt keep us from doing the things we really desire to do. And when I stop and ask myself why? Why don't I do those things? It's because I fail to just begin. To say "go".

I want to take more spontaneous weekend roadtrips. I want to really learn to cook (more than a legit grilled ham & cheese). I want to write a novel. Seriously.

The first, and possibly toughest, step? Picking up a roadmap. Picking up a measuring cup. Picking up a pen.

But I will do those things.
Because once you start, it's only the beginning. Magic awaits.

Will you take the challenge on with me? Let's dare to do the things we dream of. The little things count, too.

Have a magical weekend, friends.

13 & 14 Months

Bear turned 14 months on the 18th and honestly, it's hard to believe that in just over 2 weeks he'll be 15 months old. He's turning into a toddler right before our eyes, though I've made a vow to keep referring to him as a baby until his second birthday. Can you please play along? :) Thank you!

not sure why these are blurry... anyone else have this problem?

Things to Remember:
-You love to dance. Every time music comes on, you bounce up and down. Your new move is spinning in circles over and over again until you plop down. Dizzy little dancer!
-You don't like fruits and veggies. It's a struggle for Momma. You are a grilled cheese eatin' machine.

-You laugh at the silliest things and love to play chase. You always want to do the chasing and think it's so funny to "catch" someone.
-You now have lots of teeth! Not sure how many, but my guess is 10-11.
-Your hair is getting really long (in the back) and you have curls! I never want to cut them. Daddy, on the other hand, is pressuring me. I'm not caving anytime soon.
-You sleep 10-11 hours a night (9pm-8am ish) and take 1-2 naps per day. Usually one big nap for 3-4 hours.
-You are still breastfeeding, usually 2 times a day but sometimes 3. You don't really want the night feed anymore, which makes Mommy a little sad.
-You still LOVE your paci. If we take the clip off, you look all over your shirt for it and get upset. So naturally, we give it to you right away.
-You love drawing....in the bathtub, on your chalkboard, in coloring books. Daddy is an artist and I hope you have his talent!
-You are in size 18 clothes, size 4 diapers, and size 5 shoes.

-You're happiest outside. You could play in the backyard all day long. Hurry up, spring!

Hope you're having a great week, friends!!! xoxo

What Did Bear Wear? #3

Today was a "snow" day in Houston...aka there was a little bit of ice and the roads were completely dry but then entire city shut down anyway. Which meant, luckily for us, that Daddy got to work from home! We had such a fun day sneaking in on Z in the office and actually going to lunch with him on a week day.

The rest of the week is supposed to warm up which we're excited about, especially because we have a big Valentine photo shoot planned with friends on Thursday. :)

Here are a few of Bear's looks from the past week and a half!

jacket: Levis (thrifted), leggings: Joe Fresh for JC Penney, shoes: Nike outlet, shirt: Dazy Fashion on Etsy

shirt: Osh Kosh (gift from our sweet friends Maria and Piper!), bow tie: Logs 'n Lace, pants: JC Penney, shoes: TOMS

and the look sans-jacket...

pants/shirt: Old Navy, bow tie: Logs 'n Lace

hat: Janie & Jack, shirt: Macy's (gift from our dear friend Elissa!), bow tie: Logs 'n Lace, moccs: Deerie Handmade on Etsy

hat: Janie & Jack, shirt: The Children's Place, bow tie/pants/shoes: Baby Gap

We hope you're having a wonderful week!
Can you believe it's almost February? January has flown by!

Playroom Peek

I've wanted to do a full playroom post for awhile now but still haven't gotten around to taking "legit" photos. All the pictures below were taken via iPhone and you've likely already seen them on instagram (follow us @brittfullwood). But, we are so grateful to everyone that's contributed their time and talent to this room that we want to go ahead and do a preview post!

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with a navy and lime green color palette. It's become increasingly popular but that's not stopping us from going crazy with it. It's just so perfect for little boys (and girls with a pop of pink)!

Not sure why this picture is so grainy, but you can still see the adorable teepee that my Mom and Nana made; we LOVE it! Zach hung some lanterns from the top and we strung festive Christmas lights that will stay up year round. The toy chest doubles as a puppet theatre, and we scored it for $25 on Craigslist.
The little chairs were painted just this afternoon by Z and I'm obsessed with them. Our good friend, Ann Allen, gave them to Bear and they're perfect for puppet shows!

My mother in law made these precious Pooh paintings and they really complete the room. These are some of our very favorite quotes and hope Bear will appreciate them one day, too :).

The rug came from Ikea and isn't too huge, which we like. It's perfect for a play or game room area. Bear hasn't figured out how to drive cars on it just yet but we have a feeling he'll go crazy with it soon.

Our little rascal has already figured out the whole puppet concept. No fooling Bear!
This picture was taken pre-painted chairs.

Are you curious about the other half of the room?
That side, or corner really, is actually my little office. It's where all the Logs 'n Lace baby goods come to life! I promise to have a more detailed post in a few weeks.

Hope you are having an amazing weekend! Z's family is here and we're excited to meet up with and see everyone.
Sending big hugs and warm weather your way!

Rainy Day

Rainy days aren't always our favorite around here. Despite the relaxing vibes of cloudy skies, things aren't too relaxed in the Fullwood house with Bear man on the loose. It has rained solid since 10am this morning, so backyard & park playing weren't happening. We're used to getting out everyday for errands and play dates, but we refused to let the rain put a "damper" on our day today!

jumper/boots: Old Navy, bear hat: Gymboree (gift)

Peyton and Tiffany came over and the babies played till they dropped. They really are besties; they have so much fun together!

All that playing is hard work! And yes, the toothbrush is still hangin' around. :)

We're hoping for snow tonight; it would be Bear's first Houston snow! Actually, it'd be my first Houston snow, too. Fingers crossed that we get to build a snow-bear tomorrow!

Stay warm, friends!

Our Favorite Etsy Shops

For the past 4 years, I have been an Etsy addict. It's a bit of a problem. But a really, really wonderful problem that I don't plan on fixing anytime soon.

Etsy was first a source for wedding finds, then a home décor mecca, and now a place for all things baby. We love finding new shops and scoring one of a kind, handmade items!

Some of our favorite shops are...

Pink Lemonade Party

This is our go-to party supply shop. They have so many fabulous things! Several of Bear's birthday party details came from here. We especially love these hand-stamped Valentine spoons.

Peyton's Lane

My good friend Tiffany is the owner and she is such a talented seamstress! Her creations are fresh, fun, and perfect for all the little ladies in your life. If you need a baby shower gift, head her way! We really love the Valentine's infinity scarves she's selling right now.

We are obsessed with moccasins around here. I love mine, Bear loves his, and Zach refuses to wear them but we're working on him. I longed for a pair of Freshly Picked moccs for Bear but could never bring myself to pay $60+ for something he's going to outgrow so quickly. When I stumbled upon Deerie, it was love at first mocc. Bear now has 3 pairs and we absolutely love them. Stylish, comfy, and perfect for all seasons.
She has also added adorable leggings, beanies, and scarves to her shop. So much cuteness!

If you're in the market for a banner, this shop has you covered. So many pretty banners! We used several for our wedding and loved them.

Want a baby rocker tee without breaking the bank? This shop has so many cute ones for just $9.99! They have really stylish, affordable leggings, too.

And of course, we have to mention our own shop,
Logs 'n Lace.
:)
Most items are posted on Facebook here before they ever make it to Etsy. We'd love it if you'd find and "like" our page!

I'm dying to know, what are some of your favorite Etsy shops? We're always on the hunt for new treasures!
Happy Tuesday!

Weekend

We had such an amazing weekend; one of those weekends that's the perfect mix of "go go go" and chill chill chill. I go a bit crazy when it's too busy or too lazy, so the past few days were the best mix. My parents came down to see Bear and we visited the Houston Zoo; the weather was glorious and we had a blast! Thanks for coming, Mom and Dad. Love y'all!

Our weekend consisted of...

Going to The Woodlands Children's Museum on Friday.
Bear likes to steal the trains from the big kids' train table and run off with them.

A 78 year old woman asking where I got my sunglasses.
Imagine the look of surprise when I told her "Forever 21!".

Two trips to Target.
Mostly because the Cadbury eggs are already out! ALL TIME FAVORITE.

Creepy bathtime.
Zach is obsessed with Bear's bath crayons. I question the things he writes sometimes...
A trip to the zoo with Grandma Candy & Pops!
Lots of fun was had by all.
A Sunday Smashburger outing.
Complete with sweet potato fries and a Nutter Butter milkshake (both of which Bear loved).

Hope your weekend was a great one! The weather has been absolutely perfect here and we're hoping this sticks around for a few more weeks. It's so nice to get out and breathe some fresh air without having to be all bundled up.

Happy MLK Day, too!
My heart has been extra heavy on the topic all day today; Martin Luther King Jr. was such an amazing and influential man. I'm honored to call him a fellow American and so proud that a person of such profound peace, a true trailblazer in the search for equality, could come from this nation. We have much to learn from the legacy he left behind.

Wishing you lots of love today and always. Let's spread it, y'all.

What Did Bear Wear? (Round 2)

Thank you for all of the sweet emails and comments after Bear's last "fashion" post ;). We really do have so much fun getting dressed every morning and I love sharing Bear's OOTD's with you all!

I apologize if you follow us on insta because you've already seen all of these; I'm making it a priority to start busting out the actual camera more often like we did when Bear was little. Since getting an iPhone in July (I'm way behind, I know!), it's been so much easier to just snap phone pics. Lazy momma! But shameless mommarazzi nonetheless.

Here are some of Bear's favorite outfits from this week!

beanie/robot sweater: Baby Gap, pants: JCPenney, shoes: Polo Ralph Lauren via Home Goods

shirt: Joe Fresh for JCPenney, cords: Baby Gap, bow tie: Janie & Jack, moccs: Deerie Handmade on Etsy

shirt (onesie, actually): Baby Gap, beanie: gift- unknown (thanks, Mom!), pants: JCPenney, shoes: Baby Gap

shirt/pants/beanie: Baby Gap, paci clip: Mud Pie, moccs: Deerie Handmade via Etsy

shirt: Macy's (gift), bow tie: Target (gift), pants: Target, fox socks/shoes: Baby Gap, hat: Janie & Jack

You may have noticed by now that Bear has a slight obsession with toothbrushes. We have to take at least one wherever we go; he'll carry the same toothbrush around for several hours without ever putting it down. When I brush my teeth in the morning, he pulls on my pant leg and beeeegs for the toothbrush. It's so funny! He has no interest in actually brushing his teeth, he just likes to hold the brush. When he becomes a dentist one day, we'll have lots of pictures to document that he "started out young". :) Here's hoping...I've got lots of cavities.

Hope you have the BEST weekend!
