Thanks sweet lady! I bake WAY more than I actually cook, which is not a good thing. Trying to change that...McDonalds 3 nights a week is likely slowing killing our insides. (it's SO good though!)
oh my!! these look amazing! i LOVE pecan pie. i could seriously eat four slices! i am going to have to try these sometime. thanks so much for always sharing your wonderful recipes!! i hope you, zach and bear had a fabulous, sunshine-y weekend! :) xoxox maria
Maria! I have been thinking about you constantly all week...I know you are soaking in each precious moment with Baby Piper. I can't WAIT to see more pictures of the little angel! She is precious!
Duuuuuuuude! These are right up my alley! I LOVE pecan pie! And cookies. I'm going to have to make these. I think my favorite pie is cocunut cream pie. Or chocolate! YUM!
You're definitely gonna have to try them, Whit! You'd love them. I like coconut cream pie too, I just never get it :( prolly only had it twice in my life. We need to change that! Miss you...hope y'all had a great weekend!
I am pinning this RIGHT NOW! It's my hubs birthday next week and I'm going to make these to kick off his birthday week! He loves german chocolate cake on his birthday (and you better believe he eats the WHOLE thing because I don't like it, ha!) but this little surprise (I never bake) will make him feel even more special :)
I will definitely have to try these cookies and am looking so forward in making them. Pecan Pie is my favorite pie so I know these cookies will be a hit with me..Mmm, can't wait..
I honestly don't know, Tamara..wish I had a better answer! I just use milk because it's what I have on hand. Our cookies always come out very rich, but I'd imagine whipping cream would be even richer.
Just made these, and while the flavor is SO YUMMY, the sugar cookies are spreading out too much during baking. Any ideas as to what we could adjust to make the cookies stay together better?
Tamara, the difference between milk and heavy cream is the fat content. If you place about 1/2 Tbs. melted unsalted butter in your measuring cup, then add 2% milk to equal what the recipe calls for, you will get the equivalent of heavy cream. If using whole milk, use approximately 1/3 less melted butter. I hope that helps! This recipe is a win/win for me! Delicious sounding cooking, And pecan pie topping; how does it get better than that?!
That looks incredible, omg!! I love that you bake so often. I really need to!

ReplyDeleteHow many cookies did this yield?
ReplyDeleteI was curious about this as well!
DeleteHi ladies! So sorry for the late reply! It depends on the size of your cookies, but I usually get about 2 dozen from this recipe. Hope that helps!
DeleteWhat would the difference be for milk vs heavy whipping cream. I don't bake much so I'm new to this world.
