Trip Home

Last Thursday, Bear and I ventured to West Texas for some baby shower fun and time with family. We had such a great trip! So great, in fact, that we ended up staying an extra day than originally planned. As you can imagine, Zach was beyond thrilled to see me Bear last night. That was the longest they've ever been away from each other. Judging by the huge smile on Bear's face, he was pretty happy to see Daddy again, too.

She will welcome Lawson Kru in a few short weeks!

Zach's cousin, Callie, and her hostesses
She will welcome Carsten Casey on or around September 20th

Bear learned "touchdown!" just in time for football season. Daddy's pretty pumped.

Cheese! Bear loves playing at Pops and Grandma Candy's house.

Papaw Joe is the Bear Whisperer.

It was a long 7 hour and 9 minute drive home yesterday, but completely worth every minute when we got to see Zach again. My Mom and Dad made the trek too; we're thrilled to get to see them for a few more days!

Dinner at Spring Creek BBQ last night was icing on the reunited-cake. This little Pickle Monster found his place right by Daddy and was one happy camper.

Hope your week is a super one! Can you believe it's already mid-August?! Where did the summer go? Not gonna lie, I'm ready for some fall weather. Bring on the pumpkin scented candles and cinnamon lattes :).
