Pumpkin Pie Breakfast Bake

Are y'all obsessed with all things pumpkin, too? Because it's become more than just a seasonal treat for me; this time of year, it's a way of life.

Pumpkin everything.

Including this delicious cinnamon roll & pumpkin goodness, known as the Pumpkin Pie Breakfast Bake. I promise, it won't disappoint.

Sweet layers of cinnamon rolls, pumpkin filling, icing, and pecans make this dessert (err, breakfast) totally irresistible.

I would type out the ingredients/directions, but simply click on the Pillsbury link above and it'll take you right to it all! Really easy, and perfect to prepare the day before if you prefer to bake in advance (raising my hand-so not a morning person). It will keep well for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.

Now I'm thinking I need to make this again. Like, tomorrow.

What are some of your favorite recipes for fall? Do share!

Family Pictures

A couple weeks ago, we were back home in West Texas and decided to have pictures done with the talented Shelbi Williams Photography. Such a great decision! Shelbi is the absolute sweetest person to work with and we had so much fun trying to wrestle Bear into taking pictures for an hour and a half :). No sarcasm there, it really was fun! We took the pictures at Zach's parents' house (they live on a farm), so his Mom and Dad helped get Bear to smile from behind the camera. Grandparents are life-savers, I'm tellin' ya!

Here are some, okay lots, of our favorites!

Be still my heart.

Zach's parents' dog, Buster, and Bear had a great time together during the shoot. Buster even made it into some of our family photos! :)

Bear's second birthday is two months away, so we went ahead and took some pictures for his invitation. The theme is "Bear's Country Fair", so the family barn worked nicely as a backdrop!

Thank you so much, Shelbi, for capturing these moments with our little family! We'll treasure them forever.

On another note, today has been one of those days. I decided on a whim to attempt some mild-potty training, which resulted in poop all over the house and a distraught Bear (and Momma). He's now in the bathtub with Daddy...and I'm thinking a bubble bath and a good novel are in store for Mommy later, too. You know those days when you're ready for bed-time at 4pm? Yeah, it's one of those.

Here's to tomorrow being Friday, and putting potty-training off for a few more months. :)
Happy almost-weekend!

Britnee & Philip's Wedding Weekend

This past weekend, I had the honor of standing beside one of my very best friends on her wedding day. The whole weekend was an absolute blast, and we are so excited for Britnee and Philip as they begin their lives together. We love you both and wish you all the happiness in the world!

Friday evening, the rehearsal was at the Elegante Hotel.

Britnee gave us the most special gifts; thank you, Brit!

Saturday afternoon, the girls headed to Fuzzy's Tacos for a yummy lunch.

Then we got our hair did by the talented Timorie.

Then we hung out in the bridal suite until wedding time! It was so much fun spending time with Brit and the other bridesmaids, which are all the absolute sweetest.

Britnee's parents gave her the most amazing "Jackie bling" boots, which had thousands of Swarovski Crystals all over them. They also had different animals, because Brit worked at the zoo and is an animal lover. They were so beautiful and sparkly!

The ceremony was short and sweet (and perfect!), then it was time for dancing. Which we did a lot of.

Overall, it was an absolutely perfect weekend full of memories and special moments that I think we'll all treasure forever. The love that Britnee and Phil share for each other is something really special; it's a magical thing to witness two people truly in love. Makes my heart happy!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week...happy hump day!

Bear for DLC

Bear has the honor of being a Brand Ambassador for two businesses, and a Brand Enthusiast for one. We have so much fun styling all of the darling clothes he receives! Over the next few weeks I'm going to highlight the brands that Bear so proudly represents. We honestly love each of them and are so thrilled to be working with such talented shop owners.

Being a Brand Ambassador means that you receive free clothing, etc. from the company, in turn for representing and posting photos in the goods you receive.
Being a Brand Enthusiast means getting highly discounted clothing, etc. from the company in turn for representing and posting photos in the goods you receive.

First up, Dandy Lion Co. We are HUGE fans! Everything from this shop is made with the utmost care and highest quality knits. Bear lived in his DLC shorts this summer, and the leggings will be worn all fall.

Some of our favorites, the navy "harem pant".
personalized shirt from The Little Goose Shop, moccs from Hello Moccs

Also a favorite, the Teepee Leggings. (I'd love them in my size, too!)
chambray: Old Navy, bow tie: Baby Gap, Mud Pie moccs: Hello Moccs

We have honestly loved every piece we've received from Dandy Lion Co. and can't say enough good things about the products. I totally swoon every time I see the tribal print cardigans for girls; they are perfection!

You've also gotta check out the Halloween leggings; they are perfect for all the fall festivities coming up! Absolutely can't wait for trips to the pumpkin patch, baking lots of yummy (pumpkin) desserts, and of course trick or treating!

Happy weekend, friends!

{Easy as Pie} Pumpkin Spice Pretzels

It's no secret that I am a fan of chocolate dipped pretzels. I make them any time I can think of a good excuse, usually using white almond bark and topping with sprinkles. After seeing a similar recipe for PS Popcorn on Pinterest the other day, I decided to try it out on pretzels instead. And, luckily, they came out delicious! Oh fall and all your pumpkin glory, we are so happy you're (almost) here.

These pretzels have the perfect combo of sweet and salty meets pumpkin pie. Just be warned, you'll want to eat the whole batch in one sitting!

It's rainy in Houston today, the perfect excuse to lounge and sip cappuccino (which pairs so nicely with these PS pretzels!).

You'll need:
-1 pkg. white chocolate almond bark
-mini pretzels
-orange food coloring (optional)
-pumpkin pie spice (1 tsp. for every 8 oz. of chocolate)

Directions:
1. Melt almond bark in microwave safe dish for one minute, remove and stir. Keep heating in 20 second increments, stirring in between, until completely melted. Careful not to burn the chocolate.
2. Stir in pumpkin pie spice. I used just over 1 teaspoon for half the block of almond bark.
3. Stir in a couple drops of food coloring, depending on your desired pretzel color.
4. Dip pretzels into the chocolate and lay flat on wax paper to dry.

*You could top pretzels with crushed graham crackers, sprinkles, or stripe with white chocolate as well. I was so anxious to get into these bad boys that I left all the pretty stuff off. :)

That's it! So easy and so yummy. Will definitely be making these again all through the holiday season!

What are some of your favorite pumpkin recipes? I'm a pumpkin fanatic so I'd love some new ones to try!

Weekend

This past weekend was truly an amazing one. The weather was absolutely perfect (it felt like fall!) and we soaked up every minute outdoors that we could. Bear especially enjoyed the cooler temps!

Friday afternoon we visited The Woodland's Children's Museum, one of Bear's favorite spots.

Saturday afternoon was spent playing at the park and going to Taylor's 3rd Princess Birthday Party!

After the party, we drove up to College Station for our first home Aggie game of the season. The weather was perfect, and even though the game didn't start until 8pm, Bear was a trooper. We got to see Zach's little sister Katy and our friends Elissa and Jose, so it was a really fun evening.

Plus A&M won! Z was happy.

Sunday, I drove to Baytown for the bridal shower of my dear friend Elissa. I am so excited to be her Matron of Honor in just a few weeks! Elissa's mom, Jody, put the entire shower together and did such a beautiful job. All of the details were just perfect.

It was a tea party, so everyone wore hats. Elissa's is hard to see in this picture but it was the most beautiful Princess Kate-like fascinator.

There were all kinds of treats, including this beautiful chocolate chip cake with edible rose petals.

The bridal party got to take home their own bouquets; made us feel so special!

These cookie favors were delicious. So, so good.

Monday morning, Bear slept 'til 11am which called for celebratory cookies for "breakfast".

We also went to the doctor for a bite that Bear has, which turned out to be fine. He made it through the appointment happily eating Dum Dums.

It's back up in the 90's in Houston, but we're braving it and doing lots of swinging. Come back and stay for awhile please, fall! We really love you.

Hope your weekend was a special one!
