Post-Maternity Style: Mustard & Leopard

skinnies/chambray: Home Goods, flats: Yellow Box via Vickie's Gifts, rings/scarf: F21, earrings: Lauren Conrad for Kohl's (gift from Mom & Dad)

I never imagined, pre-Bear, just how much breastfeeding would affect my wardrobe choices. Button up/snap tops have become a common staple, paired with fun statement necklaces and scarves. Luckily it never gets too cold in Houston, allowing for light layers and semi-easy out & about nursing. I wore this outfit to dinner last night; we stopped at a few stores on the way and I was able to nurse in the car without a problem. Happy Bear=happy Momma!

p.s. I've mentioned this before, but I'm pretty obsessed with the LC line at Kohls. Have you checked out her jewelry? It's fab!

p.p.s. Looking into getting a whole new blog look (it's way overdue)...any suggestions or designers you've used? I'd like to keep it around $50-75, if possible. Thanks in advance! Cheers to a new, promising week!

  4. Please tell me I will look half as amazing as you when I'm done having a kiddo! Fabulous I tell you, you look fabulous. And that LC sure does know what she's doing. As far as blog design, I had Alyx from Everyday is an Adventure. She was super reasonable & so easy to work with. Here's a link to her design blog: http://designbyalyx.blogspot.com/?m=0

  5. I shop at Kohl's a lot and I've noticed that almost EVERYTHING that I buy is LC! I'm a breastfeeding mama too (my daughter just turned 13 months) and while I love nursing, I really miss being able to put on anything in my closet without having to consider whether I'll be with baby or not!

  9. Beautiful!! Super fun outfit!! I always said you should have a maternity fashion book! Now, you can add breastfeeding fashion book to the list! :) LOVE the color of your skinny jeans!! It's one of my favorites! I love how you paired it with the chambray shirt and leopard scarf! Those bow earrings from you parents are so pretty and delicate! I need to be investin' in some button shirts...I don't have many and didn't even think about how they will come in handy for when baby is here! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and your week is off to a great start, pretty mama! Happy Monday!

  10. What a fabulous casual outfit. I love Mustard paired with Leopard. I like the light color of that Chambray. I would love to get a couple of Chambray Shirts myself, one as light as yours and one darker. =) The bow earrings and all your rings are gorgeous.
