Hi, friends! Happy Hump Day! This week is already flying by; can't believe we're halfway to the weekend. That's reason enough to celebrate with some s'mores, right?
Our baby shower back home last Saturday was bear-themed (so cute!), so I decided to incorporate the theme into our hostess gifts. With eleven hostesses, I wanted to do something thoughtful and useful without breaking the bank. After some researching, I found this little Paula Deen gem and knew it would be perfect for our sweet friends. Anything that requires "just adding butter" is a winner in our book. We were pleased with how our homemade version turned out and hope the ladies enjoy their s'mores bars!
After finding some cute bear ribbon, Zach designed the tags to match. I wish I had his talent! We printed them out on cardstock, punched holes, and strung them through jute twine. The lid label is hot glued on.
For each gift, you'll need:
1 ½ cups teddy bear shaped graham cracker cookies
1 ½ cups miniature marshmallows
1 ½ cups semi sweet chocolate chips
½ cup brown sugar
1 (quart) mason jar
Directions:
Layer all ingredients in the mason jar and attach an instruction label that reads:
“Preheat oven to 350º F. Prepare a 9” square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Pour contents of the jar along with ½ cup melted butter into the prepared baking dish and press firmly. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely. Cut into bars.”

So simple and would be great for Secret Santa, party favors, or even a housewarming gift. Do you have any special "jar recipes"? I would love to hear them!
