My favorite part of the room is the large window seat and I would love to eventually sew a cushion for it for rainy, reading days. Doesn't that sound lovely? Zach would most certainly never use it, especially since there's a tv in front of our couch.
a wedding poem from my grandpa :)
As you can tell, our built-in needs some "in". We're working on it...
We plan on mounting this tv soon too...
So, friends, what do you think? I know it could probably use some more color but the other rooms in our house have so much brightness going on (wait 'til you see our kitchen) that I kindof like it being calm and neutral. We also have more pretty pillows for the bed that decided to play hooky from the picture session. Hope everyone is having a great week!
I think some dark reds would look good in there! It looks like a really great room.

I loveeeee your bed, and that bedding looks like Heaven. I hear ya about keeping your bedroom a calming and neutral spot, but maybe a few pops of color here and there might look cute? Like in pillows or a painting?

Ah! I would kill to have a window seat!!! I used to have one when I was a wee little girl and have missed it ever since.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, hope you're having a beautiful weekend!
What a lovely bedroom! You're right the bookshelf needs a little something! I've seen a bunch of shelves with "wallpaper" on them with some cute either fabrics or paper to add a little bit of a color pop. :)
ReplyDeleteI also love your poem from your Grandpa! What a great keepsake!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and I look forward to reading! :)
i LOVE your bedroom! our bedroom needs so much work! i just use it to sleep ... i hope that i get it together very soon because i need a grown up bedroom, haha.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!! I could totally see myself in this room, emerging only for food, lol!!
ReplyDeleteLove your bedroom..so serene. The bedspread is just beautiful. I could envision a few accents of slate blue. Of course blue is my favorite color!! Perhaps wallpapering the backs of your built in shelves with a tiny print with some brown and blue? Just a suggestion. I adore your closet too. You are so fortunate to have that much space for your clothes and accessories. Thanks for sharing with us.
